Terms of Service

Last updated: April 10, 2026

These Terms govern your use of Xlang, a multi-language learning platform with level-based videos, subtitle translation, saved vocabulary, review stories, and quizzes. By accessing Xlang you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Using Xlang

You may use Xlang for personal, educational purposes only. You must provide accurate account information and keep your login credentials secure. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) to use Xlang.

2. Embedded Third-Party Video Content

Xlang embeds videos from YouTube, a service operated by Google LLC. Xlang does not host, own, license, or control third-party video content. All embedded videos remain the exclusive property of their respective creators and are subject to YouTube's Terms of Service (youtube.com/terms) and Google's Privacy Policy.

Video availability is not guaranteed. Xlang reserves the right to remove any embedded video at any time. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, availability, or legality of third-party embedded videos.

3. Acceptable Use — No Downloading

You may not use Xlang to:

  • Download, screen-record, rip, or extract any embedded video or audio stream
  • Circumvent or bypass any access controls, embedding restrictions, or DRM on video content
  • Scrape, copy, or bulk-export transcripts beyond normal in-app use
  • Upload or submit content that is unlawful, harmful, infringing, hateful, abusive, or deceptive
  • Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the platform without our written consent

You are solely responsible for any content you upload through admin or personal video tools.

4. AI-Generated Outputs

Translations, quizzes, review stories, and transcript enrichments may be generated using AI and can be imperfect or incorrect. You should verify critical meanings independently. Xlang does not warrant the accuracy of AI-generated content.

5. Intellectual Property

Xlang branding, product UI, and platform code are protected by intellectual property law. You retain ownership rights to original content you lawfully upload. By uploading content you grant Xlang a limited, non-exclusive licence to display and process it solely for delivering the platform's features to you.

6. DMCA Copyright Policy

We respect intellectual property rights and respond to valid notices under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). If you believe content accessible through Xlang infringes your copyright, please submit a written notice to our designated DMCA agent as described in our DMCA Policy. We will investigate and act expeditiously in accordance with applicable law.

7. Account Suspension

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, abuse platform resources, submit fraudulent DMCA counter-notices, or create security risks.

8. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

Xlang is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable law. If you are accessing Xlang from the European Union, EU consumer protection laws apply in addition to these Terms.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email or via an in-app notice. Continued use of Xlang after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
